Srinagar: A major conspiracy by terrorists in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been foiled. In fact, the Border Security Force (BSF) has detected a tunnel near the international border. The tunnel was dug up from the Pakistani side. It is being told that the terrorists' conspiracy was to target the Amarnath Yatra. This tunnel is 150 meters long.

According to the BSF, the tunnel was found in the Samba sector on May 4. The tunnel was two feet wide. It was recently dug up. 21 sandbags were also recovered from the tunnel. These were used to strengthen the exit of the tunnel. BSF has detected the fifth tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir in a year and a half. It is being told that this time the conspiracy of the terrorists was to target the Amarnath Yatra. However, with the alertness of the security forces, the plot was foiled. However, it is not yet known whether the terrorists have used this tunnel in infiltration or not.

Earlier in November 2020, security forces detected a tunnel near the international border with Pakistan in the Samba sector. The tunnel was found only 160 meters from the international border. The special thing was that through this tunnel, four terrorists had also infiltrated India. All these terrorists were gunned down by the security forces in an encounter in Nagrota. Apart from this, BSF had also detected the tunnel at Pansar, Samba, Hiranagar and Kathua in Jammu.
