Box –office collection : Ajay Devgn starrer loses to Tiger Shroff’s Student of the Year 2

Ajay Devgn’s film De De Pyaar De has released yesterday and recivied positive response from the audience. The romantic-drama, which also stars south diva Rakul Preet and Tabu, managed to make a total of Rs 10.41 crore at the box-office despite the film’s Thursday evening release.

Noted trad analyst and film critics, Taran Adarsh wrote, “DeDePyaarDe picked up towards evening after a dull start... Occupancy was higher in evening/night shows... Strong reports should ensure a turnaround on Day 2 and 3... Fri ₹ 10.41 cr [incl Thu previews]."

Box office collection: Student of the Year 2 earns this much in its first week

Ajay Devgn’s last release, the multi-starrer Total Dhamaal, opened to more than Rs 16.50 crore at the box-office. The film went on to enter in the Rs 100 crore club. Even his films like Shivaay and Raid had made over Rs 10 crore at the box-office on its opening day.

The film follows the story of a 50-year-old man, who is separated from his wife in India and lives abroad. He falls in love with a 26-year-old woman, the same age as his kids from his divorced wife. All hell breaks loose when he brings his new girlfriend to India to introduce her to his family.De De Pyaar De  is directd by Akiv Ali and has been produced by Luv Ranjan who is best known for directing movies like Pyar Ka Punchnama, Pyar Ka Punchnama 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
