Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri The Surgical Strike refuses to slow down at the box office. Despite the release of  Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi and Thackeray, the war drama film has managed to stand firm at the box office. In fact, the Republic Day holiday added bountiful to its already rich kitty bringing it closer to the Rs 150 crore mark.

Sharing the box office collection of URI through Twitter, the notable film critic and Taran Adrash wrote,” #UriTheSurgicalStrike will cross ₹ 150 cr today [Sun]... Will emerge highest grossing mid-range film today, surpassing *lifetime biz* of #TWMReturns... [Week 3] Fri 4.40 cr, Sat 9.75 cr. Total: ₹ 148.18 cr. India biz... #Uri is UNSTOPPABLE indeed... #HowsTheJosh.’ Uri  faced a huge screen crunch at the ticket windows  as Kangana Ranut’s Manikarnika but the film will manage to cross 150 cr mark.

Adiya Dhar directorial URI is based on  2016 surgical strikes that India conducted following a terrorist attack in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir. Besides Vicky Kaushal, film also stars Mohit Raina, Paresh Rawal and Kirti Kulhari. the film is directed by Aditya Dhar and produced under the banner of RSVP.
