New Delhi: Olympic medalist Indian boxer Vijender Singh is likely to quit the Congress and join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). However, the professional boxer from Haryana has not yet made any official announcement about leaving the Congress, but according to media reports, Vijender Singh may resign anytime.

According to media reports, Vijender has made up his mood to quit the Congress and he may stop the AAP, which has already started preparing for the 2024 Haryana assembly elections. Let us know that just before the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, Vijender Singh had started his political innings by joining the Congress. The Congress had given a ticket to boxer Vijender Singh from the south Delhi seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, but he had to face defeat. Vijender comes from the Jat community and the AAP is trying hard to bring Vijender with him to woo the Jat votes in Haryana.

At the same time, if we talk about Vijender Singh's professional career, he won the Olympic bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. With this, he won a gold medal at the Asian Games. Vijender Singh, who is an open supporter of the farmers' movement, is very active on social media and has a frank opinion on all issues.
