KOPPAL: Karnataka Police registered a First Information Report against 3 persons for compelling a sixteen-year-old boy to perform worship without clothes. The accused allegedly video graphed the scene and shared it on social media, so as to make it viral.
The Koppal Rural Police have registered a case and are looking into the recent happening of the incident. The boy was persuaded by the three accused that if he worshipped God in a naked position, his father's debts would be forgiven, police said.
The accused advised the boy that if his father's debts were to be paid off, he should be carrying out the deed. They assured him that his family would get the money immediately after the worship is performed in naked state.
The suspects, Sharanappa, Virupana Gouda, and Sharanappa Talawara, recorded the entire incident. They uploaded the videos afterwards, and they quickly became viral on social media.
After coming to know about the videos being circulated, the boy informed police about what had happened to him. Thereafter, the parents lodged a complaint/FIR against the accused persons. The police have taken up the investigation.
