Chennai: Group of college students consisting four boys and four girls visited 'Chennai 600028II' theater, as according to the order by supreme court national anthem will be played in theater before initiation.

All the visitors except of these eight student stood while national anthem was played. Group of twenty people showed their agitation on patriotism, they beaten those students ruthlessly in the theater. According to the constitution one who will insult the national anthem will be jailed for three years.

“During the interval, people sitting behind us were passing lewd remarks and a man, Vijayakumar, grabbed my friend's collar and threatened to kill him for disrespecting the national anthem,” said one of the girl of the group.

She says “ fight erupted within a second, 20 people started beating us and called us names.” The students moved out of the theater and the police which have been called waited for the other party, to be identified.

Vijayaykumar said that their group was beaten too. But students denied then the charge was filed against Vijayakumar.On 30th November supreme curt announced that when national anthem will be played in theaters everybody should stand.
