One of the most awaited films of the year Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s ‘Brahmastra’ which had a massive opening on the first weekend, had a noticeable drop in the collections on Tuesday.

According to a report in Box Office India, the collections went down around 20% for a total of around 11-11.25 crore net worth of sales in Hindi. The overall collection for the film, from all the languages, stood around 12.50 crore.  A trade analyst also tweeted, “"Just around the double digit mark, early numbers indicating ... around 20% fall from Mon BO... Very #EarlyTrends suggesting an underwhelming Tuesday BO for #Brahmastra #BOEstimates #BOTrends".

The film made Rs 36 crore at the box office on its opening day, making it the biggest opener of this year. In the first three days, Brahmastra managed to earn Rs 120.75 crore domestically. Brahmastra collected around 37 crore on day 1 including 5 crore from the South. However, on the 2nd day, it broke every record when it collected 41 crore followed by 42 crore on its 3rd day. Brahmastra earned 16 crore on the 4th day including 2 crore from the South. On 5 th day collection of the movie dropped although Brahmastra crossed 150 crore on its  5 days at the box office, we wonder how early will it touch the 200 crore club. 

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra Part One-Shiva is the first part of a sci-fi trilogy. Apart from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles, it also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. Shah Rukh Khan has extended cameos in the film.
