On Wednesday, Brazil's foreign minister said the Amul Airlines aircraft Airbus A330neo was ready to go to Mumbai. He said that there is a special container to bring the vaccine on this aircraft. He claimed that it will take 20 lakh doses of the Serum Institute of India (SII) manufactured Covishield vaccine and reach Brazil directly. While no decision has been taken by the Indian side to send the vaccine abroad at present.

India said on Thursday that it is currently reviewing the production schedule and availability of corona vaccine and it may take some time to take a decision on its supply to other countries. The statement came after reports from the ministry that Brazil is sending a plane to buy a dose of coronavirus vaccines.
