Bangladesh Member of Parliament (MP) Anwarul Azim, who had been missing for several days, was reportedly murdered in Kolkata on Wednesday. The news was confirmed by Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan during a press conference in Dhaka, where he described the incident as a "planned murder."
Anwarul Azim had entered India on May 12. He was last seen on the afternoon of May 13, when he visited a friend's home in Bidhannagar, near Kolkata, for a medical check-up.
