The primitive culture of Madia tribe residing in Abujhmad in Chhattisgarh is still alive. There are many specialities of this culture. One of them is the tradition of marriage. In this tribe, the bride takes her procession and goes to the groom's house. 

Couple married in unique way during lockdown, 200 guests attended

Madia tribe lives in Abujhmad surrounded by high mountains, dense forests, flowing waterfalls and rivers. The Madia tribe, specially protected by the Government of India, has preserved its ancient culture and traditions even today.

This unique caste of primitive culture has been divided into two sub-castes. Abujhmadia and bison hon. The Abuzhmadia tribe is found in high mountainous areas while the bison horn Madia is found in the areas along the banks of river Indravati. Bison Horn tribe got its name because they dance with the horn of Bison during the traditional dance. There is no significant difference between these two sub-castes in traditions.
