Bridgestone: Company helping truck drivers in Corona crisis

Renowned tire manufacturer Bridgestone India has started ventures to ease the problems of people affected by the coronavirus. The company has extended a helping hand to hospitals and migrant labours stranded in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and truck drivers stuck there. Major industrial cities like Pune, Indore, Dhar, Nanded, Aurangabad, Ranchi, Mumbai have been covered under this initiative.

During this pervasive epidemic, Bridgestone India has reached out to hospitals located in rural and urban areas of Pune, Indore, Dhar, supplying more than 10,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) including 7820 complete sets. Bridgestone India has fed about 1,65,000 stranded migrant workers through its relief work and has provided groceries and emergency survival kits for 15 days, including personal safety supplies and hygiene-related products, to 3,744 truck drivers.
