Tokyo was now praised by Olympic officials as the best host city ever, but no one could plan to deal with the Coronavirus epidemic, forcing an unprecedented postponement of the 2020 Games. The organizers won everyone's heart by preparations, but lost to the virus. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Tuesday discussed with IOC President Thomas Baek and decided to postpone these games till next year. This is the first time that the Olympics, called the Mahakumbh of the Games, has been postponed due to some illness. Now the games will start in 2021, starting on 23 July 2020.
Like Tokyo Olympics, there was a risk of Zika virus in the 2016 Rio Olympics too. When Rio hosted the Games in 2009, Brazil did not expect it to face economic recession, unemployment and obstacles such as mosquito-borne Zika virus, political crisis, infrastructure bottlenecks, after which President Dilma Rousseff was impeached. All this ended the joy of hosting Rio's 2016 Olympics. Competitors of the Olympic navigation and windsurfing events feared to take part in the toxic water, which was filled with sewage of half the city's population. Just like today, eight years ago, the same speculations were being made about whether the Olympic Games would be canceled due to this viral, but overcoming these challenges, a spectacular Olympic Games were held in Rio from 5 to 21 August 2012.
How the Olympic Games were started: According to reports, it is also said that the first official event of the Olympics was held in 776 BC, while the last one was held in 394 BC. In ancient times, games developed with competition between warriors in times of peace. Races, boxing, wrestling and chariots were part of military training. Among them, the best performing warriors showed their stamina in competitive sports. After this, the Emperor Theodosis of Rome banned it by calling it an idolatrous festival.
