UK bans people coming from India, cancels Air India flights till April 30

New Delhi: Britain has recently banned the arrival of passengers from India. Air India has now cancelled UK-bound flights from April 24 to 30. This information was given by Air India. Air India said, "Passengers who were supposed to travel between India and the UK should note that all flights to the UK have been cancelled from April 24 to 30, 2021 due to recent restrictions imposed by the UK. New travel time, refunds will be briefed soon."

Britain has put India on the 'red list' of countries that will prevent non-British and Irish nationals from moving from India to the UK. It has also made it mandatory for British people who have returned from abroad to stay in quarantine for 10 days in the hotel. There have been 103 cases of coronavirus in the UK suffering from the so-called Indian form. Most of these cases relate to passengers returned from abroad. India has been included in the red list as a precaution after analyzing the data.

British PM Boris Johnson has also cancelled his upcoming visit to India in view of the severity of the second wave of the epidemic. The trip was scheduled for April 26 next week. The statement also said that the two sides will hold a virtual meeting in the coming days to release plans for changed India-UK relations.
