The British Open Golf has been canceled for the first time since World War II due to the Coronavirus. The tournament was to be held at the Royal St. George Golf Club in Kent in July. This is the first tournament to be canceled in four major tournaments. The oldest major tournament of golf will now be in 2021.

We looked at every option for this year but this was not possible. Royal St George has hosted the British Open 14 times. The last time was in 2011. Earlier in March, the Masters and PGA Championship have been postponed.
