Britney Spears says she has to "do a lot of healing" following her father's dismissal as conservator

After 13 years of having her father as her conservator, Britney Spears has finally been freed, and the singer is clearly overjoyed. Despite this, Spears stated in a recent Instagram post that she is focusing on "healing" and that she wants to "slow down and breathe" despite all of the festivities and changes in her life.

Britney shared a beautiful photo of tree branches with blue skies on Instagram, writing, "Despite the fact that my life has changed and there are things to celebrate, I still have a lot of healing to do!!! Thankfully, I have a strong support system and am learning to appreciate the importance of slowing and relaxing!!!!! Only through self-love am I able to pray... love... and assist others!!!"

On Wednesday, Spears won a big win in her conservatorship struggle when the court presiding over the case agreed to Spears' plea to suspend her father's position in her conservatorship and temporarily replace him with John Zabel. Jamie Spears, Britney's father, reacted to the court decision by calling it a loss for Britney and stating that he will continue to look after her best interests.

While Spears' conservatorship is still in effect, her next hearing, set on November 12, will determine if the singer's conservatorship will be cancelled permanently. Jamie Spears' suspension as conservator has been hailed by the singer's lawyer, Matthew Rosengart, as a big success in their lawsuit.
