Jake Gyllenhaal, a Hollywood actor, has stated that women are "superior to men" and praised the "wonderful" ladies in his family, including his actress sister Maggie Gyllenhaal. "(Women) are superior than males," he remarked.

Maggie Gyllenhall, the 40-year-old actor's actress sister, and her husband, 'Shattered Glass' star Peter Sarsgaard, have two children together - Ramona, 14, and Gloria Ray, nine - and he is happy to take an active role in their lives, according to the media. Jake invites both girls to stay at his place on a regular basis to give their parents a break and to get to know them better as they grow up.

In a media interview, he stated: "They are two of the most amazing people I've ever met. They come from a long line of amazing women, and they're even better than the ones who came before them." "(They come) to stay with me, you know, when my sister and brother-in-law need a break, and really having the time to say let's spend five days together," he said, explaining why he wanted to do more with his nieces after years of just seeing them "at a dinner or a thing." "Getting to know them and watching them grow up, as well as truly sitting and listening to their stories and experiences." The actor does not try and raise the girls and instead allows them to live freely in his house.

He stated, " "Because they are the farthest thing from a handful you can think of. And they're not even looking at their phones. Their father instilled in them a love of the outdoors and the countryside, which he values much. As a result, they prefer trees to phones, which is unusual."
