Ranchi: A shocking incident has come to light from Jharkhand's Khunti district, where after the murder of a person, the criminals did a disturbing act. According to reports, a 20-year-old man beheaded his 24-year-old cousin in the Murhu area here. Thereafter, the friends of the criminal took a 'selfie' with the severed head of the deceased.

According to the report received, the police said that the incident took place due to some land dispute. The main culprit along with his wife and others were involved in the conspiracy to murder. The police have arrested six people. The father of the deceased had lodged an FIR against all of them at Dasai Munda on December 2. In the FIR, the victim's father told that his son Kanu Munda was alone at home on the day of the murder. The rest of the family went to work in the fields. When they returned in the evening, the villagers told them that their nephew Sagar Munda and his friends had kidnapped Kanu. The relatives tried a lot to find Kanu but they could not. Defeated, the 55-year-old father approached the police and lodged an FIR.

Thereafter, a search team was formed under the leadership of Khunti Sub-Divisional Police Officer Amit Kumar to nab the culprits. Chudamani Tudu, in-charge of Murhu police station, said that while chasing the criminals, the police team reached Kumang Gopla forest. There they saw the dead body of Kanu. While his head was found 15 km away in the Dulva Tungri area. According to the police officer, the criminals had also taken a selfie with the severed head of the deceased. Two blood-stained sharp weapons, an ax, and an SUV have been recovered from them. Five mobile phones have also been recovered. The officer said that there was a long-standing feud between the families of the deceased and the criminals over a piece of land.
