Mathura: A youth was shot dead by a cousin in Village Sehi under Thana Shergarh area of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. The young man died on the spot after being shot. There was a dispute between the two brothers over property money transactions. Police have arrested one accused in the case, while the other accused is said to be absconding.

According to information, Raju Rajput and Teja Rajput, both residents of village Sehi, are cousins. They had family land in which both had a stake. A few days ago, the land was sold for Rs 13 lakh. There was a dispute between the two over sharing of the proceeds from the sale of land. According to the villagers, Raju had no children, so Teja was demanding more money. Raju had given rs 2 lakh, but Teja was not satisfied with it. He was asking for two or three lakh rupees more. For several days, there was a dispute between the two over the demand of an additional two to three lakh rupees. Last night Raju was going from the street, meanwhile Teja along with his friend Amar Singh shot Raju. The bullet hit Raju in the head.

As soon as he was shot, Raju fell into the street and lost his life. On being informed about the incident, CO Umbrella Varun Kumar Singh and SHO Shergarh Arun Kumar Panwar rushed to the spot and took stock of the matter. Police, who rushed to the spot after receiving information, investigated the matter and on the complaint of the family members of the deceased, the police registered a case. Acting on a tip-off, the police laid a siege and arrested one of the accused, Amar Singh, while Teja escaped.
