In early trade today, BSE benchmark Sensex slumped by 190 points to 32,193.63 and the NSE Nifty cracked below the 10,000-mark. The 30-share barometer went down by 189.67 pts, or 0.58 %, to 32,193.63.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng was down 0.50 % although Japan's Nikkei shed 0.42 % per cent in early trade today.
Shanghai Composite Index too edged lower by 0.12 per cent.
