Bihar Board Matric 2020 Examination has started from Monday, 17 February 2020 by Bihar School Examination Committee (BSEB - Bihar School Education Board). At the same time, about 15.29 lakh students are appearing in Bihar Board Matriculation Examination. But teachers are on strike. Apart from this, matriculation examination is being conducted by BSEB at 1368 centres in the state. In addition, the examination can be conducted in two shifts. The first shift can be from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm, while the second shift can be from 1.45 pm to 4.30 pm. The first day is a science subject examination.
But irrespective of all this, the teachers announced the strike. Education minister Krishnanandan Verma also appealed to the teachers to conduct the exam without any hindrance and not to play with the future of the students. Apart from this, the Education Department has also issued an order that if any attempt was made to disrupt the examination due to the strike, then the complaint against the culprits can be suspended or dismissed. Apart from this, the government says that alternative arrangements have been made for conducting the examination.
Services of Supervisor, Panchayat Secretary, Agriculture Coordinator, Farmer Advisor etc. will be taken. The strike will not affect the examination. Apart from this, Shishir Kumar Pandey, Advisor, Bihar State Teacher Conflict Coordination Committee, on behalf of 28 teachers' unions, says that from Monday onwards, teachers will be on strike with their demands. He claims that about 76 thousand schools from primary to upper secondary level will not be taught in the state.
