Amritsar: The Border Security Force (BSF) has killed a terrorist infiltrating Pakistan on Wednesday morning. Security forces have also received two AK-47s, 22 heroin packets, and 4 magazines from him. In this case, the police have also registered an FIR against two people, including an Indian citizen.
The incident is of BOP Kakkar of Ajnala, Tehsil of Amritsar. Where the intruder was trying to enter India through barbed wire, but only then BSF shot him. No such documents have been found from the killed intruder, which led to his identification. His body has been kept in the Lopko police station, where he is being investigated. Two magazines including two AK-47s and 22 packets of heroin have been recovered from the intruder. The entire operation was carried out jointly by BSF and Amritsar Rural Police.
The investigation has revealed that the killed intruder had relations with Jagdish Bhura and another person from Gurdaspur. After which the police have registered an FIR against two people and started further investigation. A report was recently released by the Ministry of Home Affairs. In this report, it was told that due to strict surveillance on the border, there has been a huge reduction in infiltration. According to the report, there were 99 infiltration attempts in 2020, in which only 51 terrorists could infiltrate Jammu and Kashmir from across the border.
