BSF opens fire on Pakistani drones that entered Punjab

Amritsar: A drone from the Pakistan side came inside Amarkot in Tarn Taran at around 2.30 pm on the night of Sunday-Monday. The 103 battalions of the Border Security Force fired 33 rounds at BOP Kalia after which the drone went back. A search operation has also been launched by a joint team of police and border security force. At the moment, no suspicious thing of any kind has been found. On the other hand, a Pakistani national has been detained with Pak currency in the Fazilka sector and his interrogation has been started.   

A senior border security force spokesperson said that the 103 battalion was engaged in patrolling the border at BOP Kalia in Tarn Taran. On the night of Sunday-Monday at around 2:25 pm, a call from Pakistan was heard in the Indian territory. On a careful look, the drone was seen in the sky. The team promptly fired 33 rounds and 4 Ilu bombs and drove the drone away. A joint team of police and border security force has launched a search operation since Monday morning. In some way, there has been no such thing to hear so far that any suspicious thing has been achieved so far.  

The 52 battalion of the Fazilka sector has captured a Pakistani national. He has been identified as Abdul Majeed(18), son of Mohammad Adrik, village Manchuria, Tehsil Dipalpur, District Omkara (Pakistan). Pakistani 290 rupees were recovered from his possession. The detention is said to have taken place at 6.30 this morning. The BSF team is engaged in intensive interrogation of the arrested Pakistani national. It is being ascertained whether it has links with the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.
