New Delhi: The Border Security Force (BSF) has also increased its vigil on the Indo-Bangladesh international border in view of the assembly elections in the border states of Bengal and Assam. Pankaj Kumar Singh, Additional Director General (ADG) of Eastern Command of BSF said that in order to prevent any kind of disturbances from the border across the border in the election, we have tightened the surveillance on the border. We are keeping a close watch. The officers and soldiers posted on the border have been given necessary instructions in this regard.

He told that there are about 250 such villages which are situated next to the fencing on the border. With this, fencing is still not installed in many areas. In addition, the large area is the river line border, that is, the middle of the border through which many rivers pass, through which there have been frequent attempts to carry out illegal activities. In such a situation, security becomes more challenging.

In view of this, no anti-social elements can disturb the cross-border in the election, we cannot increase the arms here and there, so far we have increased the surveillance. At the same time, with the move of the Border Security Force (BSF), it is not good for the anti-social elements to have an intention to create disturbances in the election.
