One of the popular cricket tournament, IPL is all set to commence from today. Considering the craze about IPl, government-owned telecom operator, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced new IPL focused plans. The Company has launched two new plans -- Rs 199, and Rs 499 which provides daily data allowances as well as unlimited voice calling and free Cricket SMS Alerts.

While similar in terms of allowances, the two plans differ in terms validity as the Rs 199 prepaid plan comes with a validity of 28 days while the Rs 499 plan offers benefits for 90 days. Besides this both plans offer 1GB of data per day to users or a total benefit of 28GB or 90GB depending on the duration of the plan.
There is another important difference between the two plans. While the Rs 499 plan offers unlimited voice calling outside the home circle, the more affordable Rs 199 plan charges users for making calls outside their home circle. While most of the benefits afforded to users are in line with what other players in the industry are offering, the two plans may not appeal to users much because it only offers 1GB of data to users per day.
