BSP supporter chops off his finger after casting vote for BJP

A Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supporter cut off his finger after he mistakenly voted for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the second phase of Lok Sabha polls 2019.  The man identified as Pawan Kumar, 25, is a resident of Abdullapur Hulasan village in Shikarpur area and he is said to have used a sickle to chop off his finger.

According to the sources, he had gone to vote for the SP-BSP-RLD alliance candidate Yogesh Verma but instead mistakenly voted for the sitting MP and BJP candidate Bhola Singh. Kumar chopped off his finger with a chopper frustrated over his fault. Pawan Kumar hails from Abdullapur Hulaspur village, Shantipur police station area in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.

The man later released a video to regret his mistake and since then it is going viral on social media. Kumar was rushed to a hospital but was soon discharged after his treatment. He has released a video of the incident on social media. According to Pawan Kumar and his brother, they had gone to a polling booth set up in the village to cast vote in phase 2 of Lok Sabha elections 2019. While Kumar wanted to vote for SP-BSP-RLD candidate Yogesh Sharma, he ended up voting for BJP candidate from the region Bhola Singh.
