Mayawati's big decision after election debacle, now to contest in Bypolls

Lucknow: BSP Supremo Mayawati has begun a review of her party's performance in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, Mayawati has announced a major decision to contest all assembly Bypolls. Earlier, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) did not contest any by-election. The BSP contested its final by-election in 2010.

During a review meeting with MPs, Coardinators, district presidents in Delhi, Mayawati said that there was no specific benefit from the alliance with SP. The Yadav vote did not meet us as expected. Shivpal Yadav transferred Yadav's votes to the BJP. SP failed to stop it. SP President Akhilesh Yadav could not stop the division of Yadav votes in this election.

 This time 11 MLAs have won the Lok Sabha elections. BJP MLA from Lucknow Cantt Rita Bahuguna Joshi, BJP MLA from Tundla seat SP Singh Baghel, BJP MLA from Govindnagar seat Satyadev Pachauri, his party MLA from Pratapgarh seat, Sangam Lal Gupta, BJP MLA from Gangoh seat Pradeep Kumar, BJP from Mankapur MLA R.K. Patel, Jadpur to BJP MLA Upendra Rawat, BJP MLA from Balha, Akshayawar Lal Gond, Iglas from BJP MLA Rajveer Singh, SP MLA Azam Khan from Rampur Sadar and BSP MLA Ritesh Pandey from Jalalpur have arrived in the house.
