New Delhi: New developments are being seen in the ongoing political struggle in Rajasthan. The battle for the majority in the assembly is being fought in the court. The Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will also move to High Court after Sachin Pilot and his camp MLAs reach the court. The BSP, after issuing a whip yesterday or Sunday, will leave the party and file a petition against the six Congress MLAs. All the six BSP MLAs were admitted to Congress last year.

In the month of September, all the six BSP MLAs wrote a letter to Speaker CP Joshi, requesting the BSP Legislature Party to approve the merger with Congress. They were also approved. BSP chief Mayawati, who was upset over the changing of parties, attacked Ashok Gehlot. However, in Rajasthan, the BSP was supporting the Gehlot government. This was the second incident in ten years when Ashok Gehlot included all the BSP MLAs in Congress.

After all six BSP MLAs joined the Congress, the Congress had crossed the required figure of 101 for the majority. The Gehlot government was also supported by 12 of the 13 Independent MLAs and 5 other MLAs.
