Since its debut in 2013, BTS member V has been a member of the storied South Korean septet. Since his ascent to international renown, the group has undoubtedly made enough money over the past nine years to keep its members prosperous and content. Their personal earnings have been boosted by the millions of BTS records that have been sold, their global tours where thousands of ARMYs have attended their concerts, brand partnerships, solo ventures, and more.

It was recently reported that the mayor of the city of Goyang had chosen to honour Kim Taehyung (also known as V) as one of the three people for their prompt tax payments and contribute to the city's revenue. A ceremony to present awards to the three people, including V, and five corporations who successfully paid their taxes was also planned. Due to a prior commitment, V was unable to attend the ceremony; however, it was revealed that he had sent his father to accept the plaque of distinction in his place.

Soon after, V joined the select company of musicians who have received awards for their tax-paying behaviour while still in their 20s, much to the delight of his fans. YoonA (2015), IU (2020), and Taemin (2021) of Girls' Generation have all previously made the list and have received praise for their admirable behaviours. He stands out because he is the only 3rd generation hero among the 2nd generation singers who are all regarded as role models for good citizenship.

V has always been praised for his influence and is known for bringing international status to every endeavour he participates in. The BTS member is presently thought to be juggling group duties with his solo release preparations.
