Finance Minister Arun Jaitley can give big gifts to the mobile companies in the general budget . The smartphones up to Rs 10,000 are priced between 5 and 6 percent cheaper.   In fact, the government can reduce GST on mobile handsets, which will have direct impact on mobile prices. At present, the mobile handset is 12 percent GST. Companies making handsets are demanding to reduce it to 5 percent.   

Relief for domestic mobile companies can be found. Finance Minister In the general budget, many concessions can be given to domestic mobile companies to promote make in India. Apart from this, GST can be reduced on the battery, sealed cover. The government can reduce it to 18 percent. At present, it is 28 per cent GST. 

Apart from this, GST can be reduced on Power Bank, Television Tuner Card and Web Cam. Imported phones can be expensive, expensive smartphones to be imported by government government, can increase custom duty on electronic gadgets.

In this case, branded smartphones of companies like Apple and Samsung may be more expensive than before. Currently, 15 percent custom duty is charged on the imported phone which can be extended. In December 2017, the government increased custom duty from 10 percent to 15 percent.
