Budget 2019: Modi govt bring historic budget announcement for small farmers

New Delhi: Finance Minister Piyush Goyal has begun his speech for Interim Budget for 2019-20 fiscal. This is Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government's sixth and final budget before the Loksabha election poll. In this Budget government consider farmers and offer them "PM Kisan Samman Nidhi" programme state that this would provide direct income support for small farmers, in one of its widely anticipated announcements ahead of the national election,

."The government has made a historic plan called the PM Kishan programme. Those small farmers who have less than two acres will get the support of Rs. 6,000," said Piyush Goyal while delivering the Budget speech in Parliament.

"It will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of farmers in three instalments of Rs. 2,000." He announced an allocation of Rs. 75,000 crore for the scheme.

Along with this govt. also, ensure cleaner fuel and health assurance, and embarked upon Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, a programme to give 8 crore free LPG connections to rural households, 6 crore connections have been given already with 75 percent of woman beneficiaries under PM Mudra Yojana. 26 weeks of maternity leave and Pradhan Mantri Matritva Yojana, are all to empowering women
