BANGALORE: In the Union Budget 2023–24, which will be unveiled by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman by 11 am in front of the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, the Central government is anticipated to provide generous funds and projects for the Karnataka that is close to holding elections.

In the two months leading up to the state's upcoming assembly elections, the ruling BJP in Karnataka will go all out to retain control.

In public rallies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged the populace to support the double-engine government for the advancement of the state. 

Modi and Shah have frequented the state and taken part in groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for numerous construction projects.

Karnataka is regarded as one of the six states with elections this year that are most significant.  The state of Karnataka is regarded as the southern region's entry point. The state is anticipated to implement the code of conduct either towards the end of March or the first week of April. The River Upper Bhadra Project, which has the potential to alter the situation in central Karnataka, is the focus of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai's special efforts.

The state also anticipates more assistance from the federal government in order to use the Mhadei River's water for the Kalasa Banduri Project. Bangalore, India's IT centre, is also anticipated to receive a big payout for the state.

The suburban train project, which will provide respite to the people from traffic bottlenecks in Bengaluru, is anticipated to receive encouragement from the Union government.
