New Delhi: The budget session of Parliament ended on Thursday. The Budget Session is being considered as a very successful session from the work point of view. The first phase of the budget session lasted from January 31 to February 11 and the second phase started from March 14 and ended on April 7. Parliament has been postponed sine die. The first phase of the Budget Session began with the President's Address. On February 1, the Finance Minister presented the budget. The productivity of the first phase in the Lok Sabha was 121 per cent and in the Rajya Sabha it was 100 per cent. 

Addressing the Lok Sabha today, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that the budget session of Parliament began on January 31, 2022. The session was attended by 27 sittings, which lasted for 177 hours and 50 minutes. On the first day of the session, President Ram Nath Kovind addressed the joint sitting of both the Houses of Parliament. The motion of thanks on the President's Address was discussed for 15 hours and 13 minutes. After the discussion, the motion of thanks was passed by voice vote on February 7. 

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said the total productivity of the house in the 8th session was 129 per cent. The session sat in the House for 40 hours and 40 minutes late and discussed the discussion. The House answered 182 questions, on February 11, there was a discussion for half an hour regarding the beneficiaries of the PM Awas Yojana. The members of the session placed 483 subjects of public interest under 377 in the House. A total of 62 reports were presented by various parliamentary committees in the session. The ministers made 35 statements. Under Rule 193, water-air changes, promotion of sports and the situation in Ukraine were discussed in parliament.
