The building was located in Bawmanpura. According to reports, the incident happened on an intervening night on Monday-Tuesday. Relief and rescue teams are working to remove people trapped in the building debris. Immediately after the incident, nearby people reached the spot and helped. According to local people, 6 people may still be trapped in the building debris. Local people believe that this building is about 3 decades old. These days its renovation work was going on.

According to information received from the local administration, 30 fire service personnel are at the scene. 2 people injured in the accident have been admitted to the SSG Hospital in the city for treatment. This building was about 80 years old and four to five families were living there.
