Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, the encroachment on a poultry farm on a playground built on the land of the gram samaj in Sahar block of Auraiya district was demolished on Friday. Official sources said that about two acres of land of Village Panchayat Purwa Fakire Ki Gata No. 61 of Sahar block of the district was reserved for the playground.

The said reserved land of the sports ground was illegally occupied by the dabangs of the village, Vijay Singh and Sunil Kumar, and made a poultry farm on it. On which the pradhan of the gram panchayat Bittan Kunwar gave a petition letter to SDM Bidhuna Lavgit Kaur on April 25, saying that the land of the said playground was occupied by the dabang people of the village. Even after the metering by the lekhpal, the said dabangs were also asked to vacate the land of the playground, but the illegal occupants are not giving up the occupation on the strength of dabangai and hooliganism.

He said that an open gym is to be constructed on the said land of the playground. For the construction of which, proof of land and proposal is being sought from them by the higher authorities, whether the land is completely safe and vacant or not. He said that he is not able to write a proposal as the said land is not free from possession. After which, deputy district magistrate Lavgeet Kaur ordered to free the land from encroachments on the same day and a bulldozer was operated there.
