Hamirpur: In Bundelkhand, the chain of farmers trapped in a debt trap is not taking the name to stop. Sometimes a drought has broken the back of farmers by destroying the crop this year. The pressure to repay the debt and the ruined crop is forcing the farmers to hang in the trap of hanging. One such case has come to light in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

The 48-year-old farmer hanged himself here after being disturbed by the crop of sesamum and the debt of bankers and money lenders. As soon as the incident was reported, there was a sensation in the area and there was chaos among the people. Farmer's demise has caused mourning among relatives. At present, the police have sent the dead body for postmortem and started investigating the case.

In fact, the deceased farmer Ram Khilvan Verma of Saukhar village under Sumerpur police station in Hamirpur district has a total of seven acres farming lands. He married his granddaughter last year, in which he took a loan from moneylenders. Including banks and moneylenders, a loan of Rs 5 lakh was incurred on him. There was pressure to pay the debt, but due to heavy rains this year, the crop in his farm was ruined, due to this, the farmer got fed up and ended his life.
