Dantewada: The Naxal incident in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh has once again made everyone's eyes moist. The martyrdom of 10 District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawans and a driver has shaken everyone. Some lost their husband and some lost their young son. The shadow of the father rose from the heads of many innocent people. The children were seen crying for their father, then the wives could not handle themselves after the wedding was over.  

In Kasoli village, when a funeral pyre was arranged for martyr husband Lakhmu Markam, his wife lay down on the same funeral pyre. Sobbing, she started saying, "Burn me before them." Seeing this sight, tears welled up in the eyes of everyone present there. Here, on hearing the martyrdom of the comrades and the screams of their family members, the women commandos of DRG also wept. It was seen in a viral video that children and elders who had come to collect the mortal remains of their martyr father and family members were seen crying bitterly. Because of this, women commandos were seen giving water and caressing the crying child in the heat of their hands. 

Let us tell you that 10 policemen and a driver were killed in an IED blast by Naxalites in Naxal-affected Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh last Wednesday. Five of the martyred policemen had joined the police force after leaving Naxalism. The deceased have been identified as head constables Joga Sodhi, Munna Ram Kadti, Santosh Tamo, constables Dulgo Mandavi, Lakhmu Markam, Joga Kawasi, Hariram Mandavi, private constables Raju Ram Karatam, Jairam Podiyam and Jagdish Kawasi and private driver Dhaniram Yadav. Most of the police personnel martyred in the Maoist attack are residents of Dantewada district.
