Bengaluru, Today, in atragic incident, a private bus carrying 17 people caught fire in Karnataka's Hubballi city due to which three passengers were charred to death and several others injured.

The fire broke out from the rear side of the non-AC sleeper bus on a national highway in Varur near Hubballi, about 420 kms from here.

Police said that, the cause behind the incident was not immediately known. Fifteen passengers, apart from the driver and cleaner, were in the bus proceeding to Dharwad from Bengaluru.

The injured were rushed to various hospitals, said police.
