Katihar: A bus loaded with Kanwaris overturned uncontrollably in Katihar district of Bihar. Half a dozen kanwaris were injured in the incident while an old kanwari was killed. All the passengers on board the bus were on their way to Deoghar from Saptari district of Nepal. According to eyewitnesses, the bus was carrying 70 Kanwarias.

Meanwhile, the bus overturned uncontrollably near Narhaiya village, a state highway under Pothia OP police station area of Katihar district. When the bus suddenly overturned, the whole area was in turmoil. Locals on the spot helped and pulled the injured out of the bus. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.

While some of the injured are currently undergoing treatment, some of them were discharged from the hospital after first aid. Police rushed to the spot and helped the people as soon as the accident was reported. Police are currently investigating the case. Police have also informed the family members of all the injured and taken the body of the deceased and sent it for post mortem.
