New Delhi: The bus going to Darbhanga from the national capital, Delhi, collapsed on the NH 28 near Gadhwa-Khajuria Chowk under Kotwa police station. Nearly a dozen passengers were injured in the accident. At the same time, more than two dozen passengers have suffered injuries. The number of women is more among the injured. Locals have admitted the injured to local private hospitals.

After the incident, there was an atmosphere of chaos. The local people arrived and started helping the passengers. Witnesses said that the bus suddenly became uncontrollable and hit the tree and overturned. The bus crashed into the tree, slowing down the pace, otherwise, the speed at which the bus was going would have gone too far and could have overturned many times.

Passengers said that the bus had about 70 to 80 passengers overcapacity. 4-4 people were seated in the sleeper. At the same time, riding was also done by putting stools and benches inside the bus. Also, a large number of books were loaded on the roof of the bus. Passengers reported that the bus was fully overloaded and the driver was driving the bus very fast. There has also been a talk of charging Rs 1000-1000 from stools and passengers sitting on benches. The driver and other staff escaped after the incident.
