Patna: For the past many years, the trade of liquor has been increasing illegally in many parts of the country, and there are many accidents in this case. In Bihar's Kaimur district, 2 persons have died due to suspected poisoning while the other one is in critical condition. It is noteworthy that since April 2016, the state's Nitish Kumar government has banned the sale and consumption of alcohol in Bihar.

Tauhid, a resident of Kurasan village, said that after the suspected poisonous drinking in Kurasan village under Bhabhua police station, four people have reported ill health. In this regard, he said that two people have died, who have been identified as 42-year-old Lalu Bind and 50-year-old Ram Kesari Kohar, while the third person has been admitted to Sadar Hospital in critical condition.

It is learned that the fourth person Dharmendra Kahar is undergoing treatment in a private hospital. Tauhid said that four-five people had drunk liquor in Kurasan village on Thursday evening. According to the information received, Bhabhua's Subdivision Police Officer (SDPO) Sunita Kumari said that she would be able to say something clearly in the case only after the postmortem report of the dead came. Locals said they did not know whether the suspected liquor was made locally, or brought from outside.
