Hyderabad: The people of the city are afraid of seeing the increased number of murder cases in Hyderabad city. Recently, On Tuesday night, a businessman was stabbed to death by a group of goons at Rajendranagar. Mohammed Jaweed, 34, a native of Bahadurpura, had gone to Praja Bhavan complex at Rajendranagar to get his car repaired.

Ashok Chakravarthy, ACP, said that around four people were also there to meet Jaweed and discuss some dispute between them. An argument happened during which Jaweed was stabbed to death. The cops of Rajendranagar have shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for autopsy. The initial inquiries unveiled that Jaweed used to supply food and groceries for cinema shooting catering agencies. The attackers, while escaping, left behind a mobile phone, which is being investigated by the police for hints on their identities.

The police had booked a case and they have started their initial investigation on the case. Apart from this, the technology has helped the police of the city to detect over 80% of criminal cases in the city. The annual criminal report of the police shows that since 2014 in Hyderabad, the number of cases that have been detected due to CCTV cameras and forensics technical evidence has gone up. In 2014, if 447 cases were detected using CCTV cameras, in 2018, it was 3,885 cases. With the figures, we can say that technology somehow technology is helping the cops of the city.
