BWF Rankings: Men's doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty jump to twelve places

NEW DELHI: The famous Indian pair of Badminton, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have crashed out of the global top 10 list released by the World Badminton Federation. In the latest rankings released by the federation on Tuesday, three places slipped down to the top ten. The Indian duo now has 54830 points in 13 tournaments and has slipped to the 12th position. Sattvik and Chirag jumped seven notches last week after winning the Thailand Open BWF Super 500 competition to join the top 10.

The women's doubles pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy have moved up six notches to 17th position. Hyderabad Open champion Saurabh Verma has moved up six notches to 38th position. HS Prannoy and Parupalli Kashyap have also moved up one notch to 30th and 31st position respectively. Sameer Verma has slipped one place down to 14th while Kidambi Srikanth and B Sai Praneeth remain 10th and 19th respectively.

In the Women's Singles, PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal finished fifth and eighth respectively. Sindhu had advanced to the final of the Indonesia Open where she was beaten by Akanya Yamaguchi. Saina was out of court for a long time due to injury, after which she made a comeback to the Thailand Open in which she could not do anything spectacular. The duo of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy made history by winning the Thailand Open badminton title last week. After this victory, both of them were very famous.

Due to this Hima Das will suffer problems in the Olympics.
