NEW DELHI: The separatist leaders who have ruined the valley by instigating the youth in Kashmir live a comfortable and peaceful life with the money they have received from abroad. They have not only created private wealth with that money, but are also sending their children abroad and imparting high-education. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has informed this after interrogation of the separatists.

The NIA has detained separatist leaders Shabir Shah, Yasin Malik, Asiya Andrabi, stone-pelted poster Boy Masrat Alam and hawala businessman Zahur Vatali for instigating youth in the Kashmir valley, instigating terror activities and waging war against the country. According to the NIA, Muslim League leader Masrat Alam said in an interrogation that separatist leaders, including Hurriyat Conference Chairman Syed Shah Geelani, get money from Pakistan through hawala agents. That is why separatist leaders, including Geelani, advocate the merger of Jammu and Kashmir into Pakistan.

According to Masrat, there is also a rift in the Hurriyat Conference on the collection and use of funds from abroad. In a statement issued on Sunday, the NIA said that with the money received from abroad, Asiya Andrabi used to organise protests through Muslim women in the Kashmir Valley. Asiya has also admitted her son Mohammed bin Qasim to a University in Malaysia with the money he received from Vatali. The agency has now approached the concerned department to find out about Qasim's bank accounts.
