In Jaipur, BYD India has opened its seventh showroom, which SKYY EVolution will run. With a 3,800 square foot floor area, a multi-car display, an EV charging station, and a client lounge area, the new showroom provides consumers with the best-in-class experience. It is conveniently located near Jawahar Circle. Additionally, BYD India has opened dealerships in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi.

Alop Mehta, Director of SKYY EVolution, Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business of BYD India, and other top authorities officially opened the showroom.

The Indian government wants to attain net-zero emissions by 2070 and 30% EV penetration for the PV market by 2030. One of the primary markets for BYD India is the area around Jaipur, “The traction for electric vehicles is gaining momentum in Rajasthan, and we are delighted to be a part of the momentum to drive sustainability, said Sanjay Gopalakrishnan", Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business of BYD India. “We are thrilled to enter the state and happy to see consumers are focusing towards better and advanced technology, we believe that our products will be an apt choice and of particular interest" He added.

There is currently only one electric vehicle available from BYD. It is a 5-seater electric MPV with the name "e6." As a CKD, or completely knocked down, unit, BYD is bringing it. The e6 is available in two models and has a starting price of 29.15 lakh (ex-showroom). Both GL and GLX exist. The GLX has a rapid AC charging option as well. The battery can be recharged in 1.5 hours using the DC charger, and the driving range is up to 500 kilometres.

Atto3 will be BYD's upcoming product introduction for the Indian market. 320 or 420 kilometres may be travelled in an electric SUV, depending on the battery size that is selected. The electric motor has a 204 hp and 310 Nm output capacity.
