According to media reports, 434 cases have been registered against CAA in 26 districts including Lucknow, Aligarh, Kanpur Nagar, Meerut in cases of violence. Investigations are also being made about the accused who escaped after violence in other states. With the help of other investigative agencies, UP Police is continuously increasing the steps of action.

Regarding the matter, STF ASP Satyasen Yadav said that Dr. Kafeel was presented in Mumbai court on Thursday afternoon. The STF team is bringing him here. DIG Law and Order Vijay Bhushan, on the other hand, says that JNU research student Sharjil Imam, accused of treason, caught by the Delhi Police, can be questioned in connection with the violence in Aligarh and other places. Any decision will be taken after completion of the custodial remand period of Delhi Police.
