Turkey: According to Turkish online news outlet Gazette Duvar, a cabin crew member on a SunExpress flight reportedly found a bitten snake head inside his meal.

According to Gazette Duver, the crew member discovered the body part of the snake while flying from Ankara to Düsseldorf. A video was posted on Gazette Duvar's YouTube channel in which a snake's head is visible in the food.

According to Gazette Duvar, Sancak Inflight, a provider of catering services for airlines, supplied this food and others to SunExpress, a joint venture between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa.
According to Sanq Inflight's website, some of its customers are Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways and EasyJet.

When Insider contacted SunExpress and Sancak Inflight for comment outside of regular business hours, neither company immediately responded.

SunExpress issued the following statement to Turkish news outlet Bolge Gundem: "A thorough investigation has been launched into this matter. The allegations and shares in the press regarding in-flight food service are absolutely unacceptable."

The airline told British tabloid The Sun that "all preventive measures and actions, including stopping the supply of the product concerned, have been taken immediately" until the research process is over.

According to a statement issued by Sunak Inflight, none of the foreign objects discovered in the food were used in the cooking process, The Sun reported.

The incident is another example of a bad experience that can happen this summer flying with airlines with fewer staff. Travelers share horrifying tales of losing their luggage; A passenger claimed that the missing bag contained the ashes of his parents.
The holidays of others have been ruined by missed flights and canceled flights.
One couple told Insider that due to difficulties getting back home, their child was supposed to travel with them on a different flight, and that their leave had to be extended by 12 days.
