PM Modi to hold big meeting today, farmers may get great benefits

New Delhi: An important cabinet meeting is being held today under the chairmanship of PM Narendra Modi. The meeting will be chaired by PM Narendra Modi at his office in South Block. A number of important decisions can be taken in the cabinet meeting. The relief package for the telecom sector may get permission from the Cabinet. Also, incentives for the textile sector may be announced. In addition, it is also possible for the farmers to decide to increase the MSP of Rabi crops.

The same cabinet meeting is likely to consider a relief package for the telecom sector. A number of proposals were considered in the preparation of this relief package. There was a discussion on reducing the bank guarantee to be taken in lieu of allotment of spectrum. Spectrum surrender may be allowed. The concession should be given in levy and AGR cases. After considering all these proposals, one last relief package was prepared by the Ministry of Telecom.

The same proposal was finalized first after talks with the Ministry of Finance and then with the PM's office and now it has been sent to the Cabinet. The proposal will be considered in the cabinet meeting. The proposal may get relief to telecom companies with economic pressure after getting permission from the Cabinet. The Cabinet is likely to announce the PLI scheme for the textile sector today. The scheme will be for man-made fiber segments and technical textiles. 7,000 crore scan and about Rs.4,000 crore can be allocated for technical textiles.
