MoU gets permission for rapid train running between Delhi-Meerut

Lucknow: The Memorandum of Agreement between Central and Uttar Pradesh in the Regional Rapid Rail Transit System project running from Delhi to Ghaziabad to Meerut, was approved on Friday by Cabinet approval. Housing department officials will now sign it and send it to the central government. According to the permission given to the MoU by CM Yogi Adityanath, it will be run for the arrangement of the people of the National Capital Region.

Also, where it will reduce congestion and pollution, it will help in increasing the access of people to education, health and employment opportunities. The total cost of the RRTS project between Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut is Rs 30274 crore. In this, Central Government will give 5872 crores, Delhi Government 1180 crores and Uttar Pradesh Government 6048 crores. The Central and State Governments have agreed to this project. With this, people of NCR will get better facility of public transport, while in NCR, the pressure of moving vehicles in the future will be relieved.

The RRTS is a rail based high speed rail. Its design speed is 180 kilometers per hour and average speed is 100 kilometers per hour. This metro train will run at three times the speed. The project will yield huge economic benefits, like hard work and industry will improve production. Employment opportunities will increase. Along with this, the GDP of this area will increase. RRTS will be the fastest, most convenient and safety arrangement for passenger transport in NCR. Many things will improve with this.
