Bengaluru: VG Siddhartha, the owner of Cafe Coffee Day and son-in-law of former Karnataka Chief Minister SM Krishna, is reported missing. He was coming to Mangaluru on 29th July. On the mid-way, Siddhartha got off the train at 6.30 p.m. Monday and took a walk. He disappeared while walking. Police are conducting a massive search operation in search of Siddhartha but no information has been received so far.

His phone is said to be coming off at the moment. The whole family is shocked by his disappearance. Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has also reached SM Krishna's residence. Apart from the Chief Minister, Congress leaders DK Shivkumar and BL Shankar have also reached Siddhartha's residence. People have started gathering outside Siddhartha's house.

After a long stay in the Congress, former External Affairs Minister S M Krishna joined the BJP. He has dominated Karnataka politics and served as the state's CM from 1999 to 2004. He was also the speaker in the Karnataka Assembly and governor of Maharashtra from 2004 to 2008. In 2017, he resigned from the Congress party in anger and later joined the BJP. Cafe Coffee Day is a famous brand.
