Shantakumar Sreesanth, who is part of the Indian cricket team that won the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup, is ready to be back on the field. The ban imposed on him has been lifted. He was banned by the BCCI in the IPL spot-fixing case which has now been removed.

Recently, Sreesanth said, "Call me, I will come and play cricket anywhere". In the meantime, the frustration on his face was evident. "I am talking to agents from Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka and I want to play club level cricket in these countries. My goal is to represent my country at the 2023 World Cup. My second wish is that I want to play in the match between MCC and World XI at Lord's."

The BCCI had imposed a lifetime ban on Sreesanth in the IPL spot-fixing case in 2013. In 2015, a special court in Delhi acquitted him of all charges. Then, in 2018, the Kerala High Court scrapped the lifetime ban imposed on him by the BCCI. Thereafter, all proceedings against him were also cancelled. Now 37-year-old Sreesanth is ready for a fresh play. There are reports he can make a comeback anytime.
